I noticed a lot of people on Instagram having this sew a long making some fantastic Christmas stockings made out of scrap fabric. I knew that would be perfect fabric stash busting project for me to do this season.

I made one with 1 1/2″ strips of fabric that I sewed three at a time together then I cut them into little square pieces.

When I got all the pieces sewed up to look like a big square foot.
I used my template and cut the stocking shape out of my scrap fabric square. I then quilted the fabric sewing it to a piece of quilt batting.
Sewing in the seam of each square. I then cut two pieces of fabric to make the back and inside of the stocking.
